For Angelo

Hi, I just wanted to make sure we are on the same page with Angelo. I know, I might be a little crazy, I'm sorry. 1. Focus on eating without chasing him down or taking too long. I've been using a timer, and rewarding with desert, you say its gotten better. So that is awesome. 2. New toys, he must pick two old toys to give away. I want to find a local church that gives stuff to local families who needs it, instead of just giving it to Goodwill because they turn around and sell it. I'm not asking you to do that last part, but it breaks my heart when Angelo behaves like he is spoiled. I want to give him love, affection, and other things I lacked when I was a child, but not to the point where he doesn't appreciate what we give and do for him. Let me know if you are on board with this. 3. Do you mind asking your friend what they are adding to? I don't want to work on having him add to 20 and they are going only up to five, then I would be setting him up for failure. Or vise versa, which can be just as damaging. 4. Would you mind taking opportunities to reinforce counting and his ABCs and stuff. Like during washing hands, or if he wants gummies, or toys, or ice cream and stuff. I don't know about you, but I have realized lately, I give him a lot without having him do much, and that is a huge error on my part. 5. Is there anything I can do now to get him lined up for the bilingual program? I know we are months away, but this is really important to me, because I believe it would give him an amazing advantage. I'm not going to make Angelo hate me by pushing him to be an engineer or doctor like my dad did, but he also has to be prepared for college. So if he does chose to be an engineer, doctor, lawyer or whatever, he won't "feel like he can't accomplish it. That is how my dad made me feel, and I wasted a lot of time because I never thought I would be successful at anything in college. He will have the possibility, if he chooses to be a male ballet dancer, that will be just fine. I just want him to believe he can do anything, and have the ability to do anything if he chooses. Thanks,
